Spangler named to new CCO at Navistar

WARRENVILLE, IL: Navistar International Corporation, a automotive holding company, appointed Jim Spangler to the newly created role of chief communications officer.

WARRENVILLE, IL: Navistar International Corporation, a automotive holding company, appointed Jim Spangler to the newly created role of chief communications officer.

Spangler will head up internal and external communications globally. Most recently, he served as VP of global communications at Tenneco, where he was responsible for corporate positioning, communications strategy and policy, executive communications, employee communications, media relations, and PR.

Prior to Tenneco, Spangler has worked as director of global PR and media relations for Arthur Andersen, and served in a variety of roles at Amoco Corporation in its public and government affairs group. He began as a reporter at City News Bureau of Chicago.

Navistar' subsidiaries and affiliates produce International brand commercial and military trucks, MaxxForce brand diesel engines, IC Bus brand school and commercial buses, Monaco RV brands of recreational vehicles, and Workhorse brand chassis for motor home and step vans.
