Unilever's Slim Fast goes to GolinHarris

NEW YORK: Unilever has confirmed that GolinHarris won the Slim Fast account, which was previously handled by Ogilvy PR Worldwide.

NEW YORK: Unilever has confirmed that GolinHarris won the Slim Fast account, which was previously handled by Ogilvy PR Worldwide.

Christine Cea, Unilever's director of brand PR, declined to comment further on the Slim Fast review process, but confirmed the account had moved from WPP's Ogilvy to Interpublic's GolinHarris.

Ogilvy also lost the Bertolli brand to GolinHarris earlier this month, and its Lipton account is currently up for review. The agencies in the running for Lipton have not been finalized, but Unilever confirmed that Edelman is among the agencies being considered.

Ogilvy has had several shakeups in its consumer division, including new executive hires and departures. In October 2009, MD Barby Siegel, now CEO of Zeno Group, left the company, and global consumer marketing MD Samantha Allen took her place in July 2010.

In March, Eric Slutsky, former consumer head, and Nicole Lowe, former consumer VP, also left Ogilvy. A month later, Lauren Mundell, former SVP of the consumer group, moved on from Ogilvy to join Ketchum.

Other Unilever brands handled by GolinHarris include Breyers, Good Humor, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Klondike, Magnum, P.F. Chang's Home Menu, and Popsicle.

The agency recently announced a widescale restructuring with a focus on doubling global revenue by 2020.
