Vimeo taps MWW as AOR

NEW YORK: Online video-sharing service Vimeo has selected MWW Group as its AOR, following a competitive review.

NEW YORK: Online video-sharing service Vimeo has selected MWW Group as its AOR, following a competitive review.

The agency will work to raise awareness and visibility for the brand through media relations, while also acting as a general extension of Vimeo's communications team.

Vimeo has worked with a number of very small agencies in the past, but decided to conduct the review to find a mid-size agency that better fit its needs due to recent growth.

“We really wanted to have one team that was a little bit larger and was really focused on communications for us,” said Deb Szajngarten, marketing communications director at Vimeo.

Due to MWW's internet services, consumer tech, and lifestyle PR experience, Vimeo thinks the agency will be a good fit to help extend its reach among the general public and bring in interesting new users.

“Vimeo's mission is empowering people and inspiring them to create great videos so we're going to be promoting this creative experience that's associated with the brand,” said Alissa Blate, EVP and global consumer marketing practice leader at MWW Group.

The company declined to disclose the budget and terms of the account.
