WCG adds four senior hires

SAN FRANCISCO: WCG, an independent creative, interactive, and marketing communications firm, recently added four senior-level employees.

SAN FRANCISCO: WCG, an independent creative, interactive, and marketing communications firm, recently added four senior-level employees.

In the healthcare practice, Lauren Letellier joins as managing director, Denise Powell as group director and Himani Kulkarni as group medical director. Craig Alperowitz joins as group director and will provide integrated communications strategies for clients in the consumer products and entertainment sectors.

All four were hired for their analytic and creative skills, work experience, and ability to deliver integrated communications solutions.

Prior to joining WCG, Letellier was senior partner and MD at TogoRun, where she helped to rebrand and re-launch the Omnicom healthcare boutique. She has also worked as SVP at CPR Worldwide and Fleishman-Hillard, and has in-depth experience in the healthcare sector.

Powell previously worked as senior director of corporate communications at Threshold Pharmaceuticals, where she directed IR and PR. She also served as associate director of IR at Amgen, where she was responsible for leading strategy for investor and analyst communications.

Kulkarni has worked as medical director at several WPP and Euro healthcare agencies. She has an MD, as well as degrees in English and biology, along with a range of experience creating offline and online content.

Alperowitz most recently worked as EVP at Lippe Taylor, where he led the consumer and consumer health divisions. He also has significant entertainment industry experience through roles at Niehaus Ryan Wong, where he represented Pixar Animation Studios, and positions at Sony Pictures and New Line Cinema.
