Weber-Shandwick hires first Africa director

LONDON: Weber Shandwick has appointed Jill Hamilton as its first regional director for Africa.

LONDON: Weber Shandwick has appointed Jill Hamilton as its first regional director for Africa.

Based in Johannesburg, Hamilton will head efforts to expand business and strengthen client relationships in the region. She will be a member of the firm's EMEA management team.

Hamilton has experience in international affairs, PR, and communication development. Originally from the US, she has worked in more than 30 countries and lived in Africa for more than 10 years.

Hamilton started Weber Shandwick's affiliate African PR network ZK Public Relations—a pan-African agency—in 2003. The company now represents 15 markets across the continent.
