MIAMI: Following a competitive review, Prestige Cruise Holdings selected Redpoint Marketing PR as AOR for the Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.

The agency began servicing the one-year account on July 1, 2011 and is responsible for handling media relations, social media, press trips, special events, and the company's news bureau.

Additionally, Redpoint will assist in the launch of Oceania Cruises' new ship, the m/s Riviera, as well as provide communications support for Regent Seven Seas Cruises' 20th anniversary.

Gary Gerbino, VP of corporate communications at Prestige, did not disclose the agencies involved in the review, but noted that a number of agencies both with and without cruise experience pitched the account, and said selecting the winning firm was a tough decision.

“Redpoint's impressive track record of accomplishments and experience was an excellent fit for our needs,” he added. “Chemistry is also an important factor for us, and with Redpoint, the chemistry between their team and ours was immediate.”

The company declined to disclose the budget on the account.

Redpoint was also recently selected as AOR for two other travel-related brands: the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) and Kennebunkport Resort Collection (KRC).
