WASHINGTON: Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has hired Rebecca Davis as EVP and group head of the agency's 360 Digital Influence practice.
She will work in Ogilvy's Washington office and lead the strategy, content, and technology teams.
Davis' experience in consumer media and technology platforms spans more than 17 years and includes communications strategy; strategic marketing; research; and paid, earned, and owned media. She is looking forward to working with a diverse array of clients at Ogilvy, including those in the private sector as well as others in the social marketing and public affairs arenas.

Previously, Davis was VP of social media at Discovery Communications, where she developed digital and brand strategies across the company's US networks. She created and managed Discovery's digital media planning and partnership team, led the Discovery Channel's Influencer program and wrote the company's first social media strategy.
Prior to Discovery, Davis worked at a number of tech start-ups, built and managed HSN.com's digital marketing team, and was a consultant for the communications and technology practices at Accenture.
