SAN FRANCISCO: Sabrina Guttman, who joined Ruder Finn in mid-May to lead the agency's recently launched technology and innovation practice, has left the agency.
“The direction the agency was going in just didn't feel like a good fit for me,” Guttman said.
Despite Guttman's departure, the technology and innovation practice will remain in place. Katy Kelley, VP of communications at Ruder Finn, confirmed that the agency will eventually seek out someone to replace Guttman in her former role as global lead.
“We're sad to see her go, but we're really staying dedicated to the technology and innovation program,” Kelley said.
The agency launched its Bay Area-based tech and innovation practice to meet the communications needs of the growing tech industry. The practice was designed to service both b-to-b and b-to-c clients.
“It's still building, but we have some really significant clients that are on board,” Kelley said. She declined to disclose which clients the practice is servicing.
Prior to joining Ruder Finn, Guttman was GM of AxiCom North America, and has also worked at Business Objects, Burson-Marsteller, IBM, and Sun Microsystems.
