BURLINGTON, MA: Bob Chandler, founder of Chandler Chicco Companies, has been tapped to lead a new company structure launched by inVentiv Health in Europe.

The company, inVentiv Health Communications/Europe, was created to house a united front for its advertising, PR, public policy and other services across the region. Chandler is currently SVP of marketing and communications at inVentiv Health.

In his new role, Chandler will continue to be based in NYC. He will be in daily communication with the unit's London base, as well as conducting frequent trips.

“I'm no stranger to balancing many different managerial duties overseas, particularly considering the success of Chandler Chicco Companies in London and serving as SVP of marketing and communications for inVentiv Health,” Chandler said via email. “In reality, this new company will help streamline my duties because of the significant efficiencies it will generate.”

inVentiv Health Communications/Europe, which will be based in London, will officially launch in Q1 2012.

Under the new umbrella, ad shops GSW Europe and Junction 11 will operate as inVentiv Health Communications/Europe, but Chandler Chicco Companies will retain its brand name.

"We've been thinking about this for a while and realized we could have a tremendous overall impact in the European healthcare environment with a unified communications offering," added Chandler. "We'll be working in greater unison and have a greater impact on the business challenges we tackle daily for clients."

He said the “super-agency structure" will give the firm a more competitive nature among multinational holding companies, as well as greater internal efficiency.

The new company will also provide other Europe-focused client services such as market access, medical education, marketing, branding, and digital.

Additional hiring is underway in the public policy and digital segments. No layoffs are anticipated, Chandler said.

Overall, inVentiv Health serves more than 550 pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences companies. The agency employs 13,000 people in 40 countries. Policy prohibits inVentiv Health from disclosing client identities.

Currently, inVentiv Health's US market communications companies operate as part of the inVentiv Health commercial segment.

"However, this doesn't rule out launching an inVentiv Health Communications/US or a rest-of-the-world offering in the future," Chandler said.
