NEW YORK: Ketchum Pleon named David Gallagher CEO of the agency's European operations, effective immediately.
Gallagher previously served as president of Ketchum Pleon, leading operations in Europe, such as the UK, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. He is replacing Timo Sieg, MD in Germany, and CEO of Europe, who is leaving the agency at the end of the year "to take time off and prepare for new opportunities ahead."
Prior to that, Gallagher oversaw the merger of Ketchum and Pleon in Europe in 2009. Before the merger, he headed Ketchum's UK operations.
Meanwhile, Dirk Popp will remain in his role as CEO of Germany at Ketchum Pleon, where he oversees the executive board of Ketchum Pleon. He was appointed to the role earlier this year. Popp has been with the firm for 15 years, having served time in its Dresden, and Düsseldorf offices in Germany.
Ketchum Pleon has operations in 39 cities throughout the UK and Continental Europe.
