MIDLAND, MI: The Dow Chemical Company has promoted Matt Davis to VP of global government and public affairs.
Davis will be responsible for the company's worldwide government affairs, public policy, issues management, communications, reputation, and public affairs strategy and actions.
He will report to Andrew Liveris, chairman and CEO of Dow, and replaces Rich Wells, who was named VP and site director of the company's Michigan operations earlier this week.
Davis, who joined the company in 1987, most recently served as VP of public affairs. Throughout his tenure at Dow, He has also worked in other public affairs roles for its Texas, Michigan, and Latin America operations, as well as the polyolefins and elastomers business group, and global plastics portfolio.
He has also supported the company in corporate media relations, employee development, and quality performance communications functions.
