David Shane is vice president of global corporate communications at Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) where he is responsible for developing and managing the company's relationships with key external audiences including media, industry analysts and influencers. He also oversees strategic messaging, social media, public affairs communications, executive communications and internal communications.

Prior to Juniper, Shane ran worldwide communications for Hewlett Packard (NYSE: HPQ), the world's largest technology company with $120BN in annual revenues and 300,000 employees. He bolstered HP's corporate reputation, managed crisis communications, and led M&A communications efforts for HP's $14BN acquisition of Electronic Data Systems, $2.7BN acquisition of 3Com, and $1.2BN acquisition of Palm.

Prior to joining HP, Shane was senior vice president at Weber Shandwick, where he led the Corporate Practice in Los Angeles. In this role, he counseled Mattel, Inc. on the company's worldwide toy recalls and was also a senior advisor to Warner Bros. Entertainment and author J.K. Rowling during the studio's high-profile intellectual property litigation involving the multi-billion dollar “Harry Potter” franchise.
In the world of entertainment, Shane has served as senior vice president of corporate communications at International Creative Management, one of the world's largest talent and literary agencies. Earlier in his career, David oversaw public relations for Comcast Cable (NASDAQ: CMCSK) and worked in television news for CBS in Philadelphia.

Honored with numerous accolades for his work, Shane has won an Emmy Award and was named to PR Week's “40 Under 40” and “30 Under 30.” He holds a BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Arthur Page Society, The Conference Board, and The University of Pennsylvania's Southern California Regional Advisory Board.
