SUNNYVALE, CA: Netgear, a global provider of networking, storage and technology products for consumers, businesses and internet service providers, has selected Weber Shandwick as agency of record for all US PR activities.
Netgear selected the agency for its experience across the consumer, business, and service provider sectors, as well as its experience in managing product reviews.
"Netgear products span all three areas, and we were delighted to find an agency that had relevant experience in all areas," said Judy Hoffmann, senior director of worldwide marketing communications at Netgear. "
Weber began to support the account in July, following a competitive review. Hoffman declined to disclose the competing agencies. The agency will provide strategic PR counsel, consumer and trade media relations, and social media support in an effort to raise and maintain brand awareness for Netgear across the consumer, small business and medium enterprise markets.
Tony Hynes, EVP at Weber Shandwick said the account is a good fit because “it marries requirements in consumer with the sensibilities of enterprise IT.”
The budget for the account is undisclosed.
