ST LOUIS: Fleishman-Hillard has created a Global China Practice to support the expansion of growing Chinese businesses.
The practice, consisting of senior Fleishman-Hillard experts, will help Chinese companies break into new markets by building brand awareness, directing CSR efforts, and handling financial communications.
The new program is being led by Joanne Wong in Hong Kong and Bill Black in Washington, DC. Prior to their new roles, Wong headed the agency's client service division and Black was co-chair of its public affairs practice. Both Wong and Black are senior partners at the Omnicom firm.
Fleishman is also partnering with colleges in the US and Europe to form a China Masters Exchange Program for Chinese students who want to work in the communications field. So far, universities that have joined this initiative include Stanford, George Washington, and Washington.
