William J. Holstein is an author, journalist and consultant regarding many top-level corporate issues. He has witnessed the dynamic between media organizations and the companies they cover from perspectives. He became president of the Overseas Press Club in 1994, a term that lasted until 1996. He has been active in the club in awards judging, programming and selling tables to the annual dinner as the Dinner Chair. As a journalist, he has worked for Business Week, U.S. News & World Report, the New York Times, Fortune, Strategy + Business, and other publications. As a consultant, he has provided strategic level support to Telstra, Novartis, Marvell Technologies, and other companies. Among his five books is "Manage the Media (Don't Let the Media Manage You)" from Harvard Business School Press.
