LANHAM, MD: Vocus has launched product suite Vocus Marketing to help brands manage PR and marketing efforts from one console.
The service packages various Vocus offerings within a dashboard setting. These services include media monitoring, social media analytics, press release distribution through PRWeb, and media opportunities through Help A Reporter Out (HARO). It also helps businesses manage their presence on social media channels like Facebook and Twitter.
The suite also provides suggestions to help brands capitalize on marketing opportunities and generate buzz on social media networks. For example, the service can suggest retweeting a specific tweet, interacting with an influencer, or providing an answer to a question that falls under the company's expertise.
The cloud-based software app was designed for small- and mid-sized businesses that employ between one and three communications professionals who are sharing responsibility for marketing and communications needs, said You Mon Tsang, SVP of products at Vocus.
“There's a whole class of folks out there trying to do great PR and great marketing without a whole lot of resources, and that's who we are focused on,” Tsang said.
Vocus has offered the products individually for some time, but it combined them to help professionals who manage both marketing and PR activities achieve their communications goals.
“We decided that we have to add a layer of intelligence on top of those tools to help people do great marketing,” said Tsang.
The suite starts at $2,500 per year, with rates rising from there depending on the number of social media profiles the individual or company wants to manage.
