Burson-Marsteller gains ground in South Africa

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA: Burson-Marsteller said it will acquire a majority stake in Arcay Communications, a South African agency that supports its work in more than 50 countries across the continent.

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA: Burson-Marsteller said it will acquire a majority stake in Arcay Communications, a South African agency that supports its work in more than 50 countries across the continent.

Arcay will be rebranded as Arcay Burson-Marsteller when the deal is finalized, and founder Robyn de Villiers will be named chairman and CEO. She will also join Burson's EMEA leadership team.

Arcay has been an exclusive affiliate partner of Burson since 2007.
