SEATTLE: Hernan Daguerre, director of external communications at T-Mobile, died September 29 after sustaining injuries from a car accident near his home. He was 38.
Daguerre had joined T-Mobile nearly a year ago, handling a variety of functions including corporate communications, brand PR, media relations, social media, government affairs, and corporate responsibility.
“I've never met anyone with such a passion for life and career,” said Reid Walker, VP of corporate communications at T-Mobile, in a statement. “He was not afraid of a challenge - in fact, he thrived on it. Hernan leveraged his significant talent and multifaceted career to help bring T-Mobile to a whole new level. I feel a great loss without him in my life.”
Prior to joining T-Mobile, Daguerre held various communications-related roles with Nike, MTV Networks, and Monster.com. He was fluent in English and Spanish.
Daguerre, who was born in Córdoba, Argentina, leaves his wife, Jean Marie, and their children, Lucas and Gabriela. He is also survived by his parents, Hernan A. Daguerre and Maria Cristina Del Boca, as well as two brothers.
