David Tinson is Vice President of Integrated Communications at EA SPORTS, a label of Electronic Arts. In his role, Tinson leads strategic communications and messaging, internal communications, executive visibility, issues/crisis communications and editorial content development for one of the leading sports brands in the world.
Tinson has helped launch more than 100 products and initiatives since joining EA in March 2003, and he's based at the company's corporate headquarters in Redwood City, Calif. His staff includes teams based within the main development studios for EA SPORTS (EA Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia and EA Tiburon in Orlando, Fla.) as well as EA's European headquarters (Geneva, Switzerland).
A native of Attleboro, Mass., Tinson has a degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has previously worked in the athletic departments at the University of Texas and University of North Carolina, as well as NBC Sports in New York. He has served as a press rep at the Olympic Games, NCAA and ACC Basketball Tournaments, Fiesta Bowl and American League Championship Series.
Tinson and his wife live in the Bay Area with their three boys.
