Cision launches social publishing tool

CHICAGO: Cision has launched Cision Social Publish, a software feature that allows communications professionals to publish content to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social platforms from one place.

CHICAGO: Cision has launched Cision Social Publish, a software feature that allows communications professionals to publish content to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other social platforms from one place.

The service is part of the company's CisionPoint software. It is a result of the company's recent partnership with social media release platform PitchEngine.

Social Publish, which will become available early next week, was designed to help customers directly interact with important audiences, including their own customers, digital influencers, and the media, on the social Web.

“It's really just simplifying the entire process so you're not going out to three or four different sites,” said Peter Granat, president and COO at Cision. “You can share with your customers, with your employees, with your prospects, your friends, through the Cision platform, all from one place.”

Granat added that as PR teams and companies are increasingly talking directly with customers through social media, the service is helpful in managing that outreach.

“The traditional boiler plate press release format really doesn't work in the social space, and PR needs to adapt to that,” he said.

The service is included free-of-charge for Cision's professional edition customers. For small business customers, Social Publish is bundled with Cision's influencer database module, at a cost of $250 a month.

Cision Social Publish will be available for customers across all markets where the company has a presence, including the US, UK, and Germany.
