PARSIPPANY, NJ: Century 21 Real Estate has launched a Facebook app to help its brokers maximize their social media presence and connect with consumers.

The app will help Century 21 offices engage consumers and drive leads through Facebook using features such as access to listings, said Matt Gentile, director of PR and social media at Century 21 Real Estate.

“This is an area where it just makes sense for us to position our brokers to reach the consumer, Gentile said.

The app will also give potential home buyers and sellers access to a mortgage calculator and the steps for getting pre-approved for a mortgage. It will also connect brokers and consumers with the Century 21 Twitter stream and the company's mobile app.

“We're not only driving value for the consumer, but we're also helping our brokers and agents take advantage of our platform so that their direct interaction with their consumers will also benefit,” Gentile said.

The company's advertising message for this year is “Century 21: smarter, bolder, faster,” Gentile explained, adding that the mobile app embodies those values by helping agents succeed using the Web.

Century 21 has launched other social media initiatives to help its brokers. For example, the company created an educational YouTube series to help brokers use social media for business purposes.

“We will continue to produce those pieces moving forward,” Gentile explained.
