SAN FRANCISCO: Ticketfly is planning to release an RFP seeking a new agency in about two weeks.
The ticketing and social media platform is searching for a firm either based in Northern California or one that has significant exposure in the region, said Dan Teree president, COO, and founder of the company.
He explained that Ticketfly will seek a firm that is savvy with various forms of media outreach, technology culture, and consumer trends.
“We're going to be looking for someone who is adept in high-tech and who is highly connected with the technology publications out there,” said Teree. He added that the company expects to select an agency by the end of this year.
Teree said the company is also looking for a firm with a strong understanding of music, but that it will soon expanding within the ticketing space.
“Ticketfly's definitely going to be moving in directions other than just music,” he said, “but music will always be where our heart and our DNA lie.”
The ticketing platform manages all of its social media channels internally, but the new AOR will provide Ticketfly with strategic digital counsel, said Teree.
Inner Circle Labs is the company's former AOR, said Teree. Meredith Klee, associate at Inner Circle, said the firm will not re-pitch for the account.
