ORLANDO, FL: Business Wire has partnered with Critical Mention to give its clients access to Critical Mention's real-time broadcast-monitoring platform.
Dave Armon, president of Critical Mention, said there is a natural connection between companies that issue news releases and those that monitor activity during a major story.
“The broadcast mediums, radio and TV, are super important to a large number of Business Wire clients,” Armon explained. “We are psyched to be working with them to give their clients access to real-time broadcast coverage.”
Laura Sturaitis, EVP of media services and product strategy at Business Wire, said the company partnered with Critical Mention to fill out its suite of service offerings.
“We didn't really have a good TV and radio broadcast-clipping option, and we've known the guys at Critical Mention for some time. It just seemed like the right time to get into this,” she said. “Especially with the demise of VMS.”
Critical Mention's broadcast-monitoring platform is not a Business Wire branded offering. Instead the company will refer interested parties to Critical Mention, Sturaitis said.
“When we go into calls together, or RFPs and such…we can bring Critical Mention in, or refer clients who need that solution,” she said.
Critical Mention's TV and radio-monitoring platform captures coverage across all US markets, as well as stations in the UK, Canada, and the Middle East. Business Wire clients who sign up for critical mention for 2012 will receive broadcast monitoring free-of-charge for the remainder of 2011.
