DURHAM, NC: The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is conducting an RFP process to find an agency to drive US media coverage.

The organization is looking for a firm to help it promote the Chartered Global Management Accountant, a recently formed alliance between the institute and London's Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, according to RFP documents seen by PRWeek. The joint venture will officially launch January 13, 2012 with events in New York, London, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The winning firm will help the organization secure coverage from national business broadcasters and print outlets, as well as major regional press, trade magazines, and blogs, according to the RFP documents. The firm will also be required to train spokespeople on presentation, interview technique, messaging, and defensive Q&As.

The institute did not return numerous calls seeking comment.

Written proposals are due from agencies on October 26, and presentations in the AICPA's New York office will run from October 28 to November 4. The organization will select a firm November 10.
