Terra taps Goodman Media as AOR

NEW YORK: Terra, a Brazil-based online media company, has selected Goodman Media International as its global AOR.

NEW YORK: Terra, a Brazil-based online media company, has selected Goodman Media International as its global AOR.

The agency began to support the account in September, following a competitive review that started in February.

Goodman Media will help the company expand its presence in key outlets in the US and abroad, with an emphasis on increasing awareness of the brand as a global leader for digital entertainment, sports, and news content.

“We selected Goodman for its expertise in media, multicultural affairs, the diversified professional background of the staff involved in the account, outstanding results achieved with other media clients, and, above all, the communication plan proposed,” said Suzane Veloso, corporate communications director at Terra.

It is the first time Terra has hired a global agency that will report directly to the corporate communications team at its Sao Paolo, Brazil headquarters, Veloso explained.

The agency's primary goal will be to raise awareness of the media company and its executives through US business media, but media relations work will also include outlets in Latin America and Europe.

“People who study digital media on a global scale are very familiar with Terra's reach and innovation,” said Tom Goodman, president and CEO of the agency. “We're tasked with helping to expand that awareness to the larger business and media communities.”

The contract is for one year, with the option to renew. The budget on the account was not available.
