PARIS: Marketing services group Havas has reported 8.2% year-over-year third-quarter organic growth in North America.
The holding company saw overall organic growth of 7.3% in the third quarter and 6.1% in the first nine months of 2011. Havas' overall Q3 revenue increased 5% year-over-year to $541.5 million.
“It's actually our best organic growth, not only of this year, but it's our best organic growth performance in three years,” said Havas CEO David Jones on a conference call. “The growth was really driven by Latin America and Asia, also with very strong growth in North America, and I think one of the good things was all divisions contributed very well to the performance, and our digital business continued to accelerate in its growth.”
He added that more than half of Havas' companies in North America saw double-digit revenue increases in Q3.Net new business for the company, which owns Euro RSCG Worldwide PR and Abernathy MacGregor Group, was $491.1 million in Q3, and $1.8 billion in the first nine months of the year.
Jones also mentioned Havas' launch of multicultural marketing agency Totality in North America this month. He added that the company wants to expand ad agency BETC Euro RSCG into markets including the US, Brazil, and Asia.
The holding company does not break out PR revenue.
