WPP PR, public affairs revenue up 7.4% in Q3

DUBLIN, IRELAND: WPP Group's PR and public affairs revenue was up 7.4% on a constant currency basis in the third quarter to $358.1 million.

DUBLIN, IRELAND: WPP Group's PR and public affairs revenue was up 7.4% on a constant currency basis in the third quarter to $358.1 million.

The holding company's overall revenue grew by 4.7% organically year-over-year to $3.95 billion in Q3. That growth was less than the 6.7% organic growth seen in the first quarter and the 5.6% in Q2, however the holding company noted in an earnings statement that it was up against “more difficult comparatives” in the third quarter.

US Q3 revenues grew by 4.6% organically year-over-year to $1.35 billion. WPP won $2.3 billion in net new business in Q3.

The holding company owns Ogilvy PR Worldwide, Burson-Marsteller, and Cohn & Wolfe, among other firms.
