CHICAGO: Insidedge, Interpublic Group's employee communications consultancy, has named Linda Kingman managing director.
She will lead the firm's day-to-day operations, reporting to Keith Burton, president. Kingman previously served as the agency's EVP and marketing director.
In the next year, she said the firm wants “to continue the growth of our practice and to grow our office in New York.”
Kingman joined the firm six years ago from IPG sister agency GolinHarris, where she was director of the corporate communications group.
Previously, she served as VP of corporate communications at Kemper Insurance Companies, where she led internal and external communications. Kingman was a member of Kemper's senior management team handling its response to the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center, where 225 Kemper employees worked.
Kingman also served as a senior managing director in Hill & Knowlton's Chicago office.
Burton praised Kingman for her client experience, best practices, and ease in working with Insidedge staff members. He added that the agency did not look outside the firm to fill the position, saying "there isn't a better person for it."
Insidedge hired Jill Carapellotti for the newly created position of SVP of its New York office earlier this month. Carapellotti joined the firm from Burson-Marsteller.
