ALVISO, CA: TiVo has hired Steve Wymer as director of corporate communications, responsible for both external and internal efforts.
Wymer, most recently served as communications director for US Sen. Mike Johanns (R-NE). He has also served as president of the US Senate Press Secretaries Association.
Wymer will work from TiVo's Alviso, CA headquarters.
In August 2010, TiVo hired Bite Communications for consumer PR.
