MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: Professional social network LinkedIn is in the early stages of an agency search.
The company is looking for a New York-based firm that has strong relationships with top-tier consumer publications and broadcast TV programs in the US, said Krista Canfield, senior manager of corporate communications at LinkedIn.
LinkedIn has worked with boutique shop M. Cader PR since January, but it is looking for a new agency to handle consumer PR duties. LinkedIn and M. Cader will continue to work together until the agency's contract expires on December 31.
"The firm has done a fantastic job elevating LinkedIn's profile among target audiences, and we're sorry that it won't be helming our consumer efforts beyond this year,” Canfield said. “We're currently looking for a replacement agency.”
M. Cader will not participate in the review, confirmed agency principal Margie Cader.
“It's been a wonderful partnership, and it's a fantastic piece of business and a great company to be working with right now,” said Cader.
LinkedIn completed an initial public offering in May.
