PALO ALTO, CA: Hewlett-Packard has consolidated its PR agency roster and is no longer working with Bite Communications and Weber Shandwick on global corporate work, confirmed Mylene Mangalindan, director of corporate communications at the company.
Bite Communications declined to comment.
HP's communications team was restructured last month. CCO Bill Wohl left the company about a month after it fired former CEO Leo Apotheker and replaced him with Meg Whitman.
Wohl shed his corporate communications duties amidst the communications restructure, and was put on special assignment for the company's software business. At that time, Lynn Anderson, VP of influencer marketing for HP's enterprise systems group, took on day-to-day management of the corporate communications department.
