STRONGSVILLE, OH: AkzoNobel Paints has issued an RFP in search of an AOR for its Glidden Paint brand.
Glidden, which has never had a PR AOR, wants to bolster its outreach initiatives, said Eric Stasiowski, director of communications at AkzoNobel.
“PR is a competency that we're building up, and we want to partner with a really strong PR agency in our category,” he added.
Stasiowski said Glidden expects to select an agency before the end of 2011.
Earlier this year, the brand hired Digital Influence Group as its first social media AOR.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, AkzoNobel is Fortune 500 company operating in more than 80 countries with about 55,000 employees.
