SEATTLE: The Make-A-Wish Foundation has hired Waggener Edstrom Worldwide to redesign its national website, Wish.org, and its 62 regional and chapter portals. The appointment followed a competitive review.

The websites will incorporate the digital stories of individuals who have been impacted by the foundation, and will connect people in the Make-A-Wish community. Target groups include volunteers, sponsors, those looking for a wish to be granted, people who want to share stories, and the general public.

The agency will design the national site to elevate the brand's position from “so nice to so necessary,” while showcasing content, drive donations, and wish referrals. The local sites will recruit volunteers, reflect grassroots mission delivery, and include first-person wish accounts. Each of the websites will be mobile, tablet, and desktop compatible.
