BOTHELL, WA: Brooks Sports, an athletic shoe and apparel manufacturer, has issued an RFP seeking an AOR to lead traditional PR efforts.
Brooks is planning to hire a firm to focus on traditional PR, including media and consumer outreach, said Dave Larson, VP of marketing at the company. Social media is managed internally at Brooks, he said.
Larson declined to offer additional information on the process.
Maloney & Fox, Brooks' AOR for the last three years, will finish its contract with the company on January 1, 2012. It will not participate in the review process.

Brooks hired MWW/Savit, now MWW Group, in 2003 to target national consumer media to boost interest in the business.
