Some of the Twitter feeds that the Homeland Security Committee is looking to remove include @ABalkhi, which has more than 4,200 followers, and @alemarahweb, which has more than 6,300 followers.
According to Twitter's rules, it does not allow users to publish "direct, specific threats of violence" or use the website for "any unlawful purposes or in furtherance of illegal activities."
However, Twitter has frequently stood its ground on providing a free platform for free speech, no matter the speaker.
