LOS ANGELES: To help strengthen its consumer and lifestyle and practice in California, Weber Shandwick has named Regan Phillips SVP consumer and lifestyle marketing, a new position. Phillips started earlier this month.
Rod Clayton, EVP and GM Southern California, said she fills a void in that practice area. "We have had this practice out in California for years but no senior leadership for it," Clayton said. "We wanted to step up direct consumer leadership on the spot."
Some of the clients Phillips will be working with include Carl's Jr., Peet's Coffee, Electrolux Home Products, the HD DVD Promotional Group, Budget Blinds and Slide.com.
Clayton said she would be working with international clients that have "California needs" as well.
Phillips will report to both, Clayton and Tim Marklein, EVP and GM Northern California.
Phillips joins from Edelman Public Relations where she was SVP and created entertainment and consumer lifestyle programs for major brands and executed national media campaigns for entertainment clients.
