EL SEGUNDO, CA: IT consulting and outsourcing company Computer Sciences has selected Edelman as its new North American AOR.The $14 billion company, seeking to boost its profile against the likes of IBM and Accenture, previously worked with Fleishman-Hillard for three years.
"We are low-profile for a lot of reasons, but in part because our business mix is government and industry," explained Peter Maneri, VP of corporate communications and marketing. "We were looking for an agency that could help us better position our image as a technology leader."
Maneri said Fleishman did a good job, but it was just time to change its approach and "go with someone who saw us a bit differently."
Computer Sciences began its search in September, with the help of Jerry Swerling, a PR management consultant and director of PR studies at the USC Annenberg School for Communication.
