GARDENA, CA: After eight great years with Nissan, Dean Case, director of product PR, is leaving.

He said he has decided to resign before the company moves headquarters to the vicinity of Nashville, Tennessee this summer. "While I still love my job, my personal situation simply does not allow my relocation outside of Southern California," he said. Case is the latest of several Nissan PR staffers who have elected not to make the move east.

"I'm going out on my own as a consultant," said Case, adding that his first project will be managing the Inaugural Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) West Collegiate Design Competition this June at California Speedway.

"My main task is to recruit the best automotive, motorcycle, and motorsports companies and engineers to support the event," he said.

Replacing Case in Nissan product PR is is Darryll Harrison.
