NEW YORK: Weber Shandwick confirmed that Leslie Gaines-Ross has joined the agency as chief reputation strategist and will start in May.
WS CEO Harris Diamond said Gaines-Ross will have a senior corporate and leadership role and will serve clients.
Diamond said that Gaines-Ross will help clients understand how they need to approach corporate reputation holistically.
Gaines-Ross joined from Burson-Marsteller where she was chief knowledge and research officer worldwide. Gaines-Ross, who worked for Burson for ten years, joined from Fortune, where she was communications and marketing director.
"One of the things we do well is trying to get our clients to not just think about execution of ideas, but also understand the world that communications operates in," Diamond said. "Leslie has a point of view about how to [garner] and preserve reputation, and I'm looking forward to her talking to our clients about it."
