Kurt von Zumwalt, who has been with Nissan for 13 years is leaving the company in December. Scott Vazin, who for the past 2.5 years has been in Nissan’s Paris office, will replace him as director, product PR, effective October 16. He will oversee all Nissan and Infiniti model PR launch events, lifestyle PR, media websites, national press fleet, and auto show activities.

John Schilling will be senior manager, product PR, replacing Tim Gallagher, who becomes senior manager, western region PR. Schilling will report to Vazin and is responsible for all Nissan product PR launch activities and overseeing Nissan vehicles in the national press fleet.

Gallagher will oversee all Nissan and Infiniti PR activities and media relationships in the Western US. He also will provide longer term strategic direction for all Nissan and Infiniti product PR launch plans and serve as PR liaison with Nissan’s design studio in La Jolla, CA. He will report both to Vazin and Katherine Zachary, senior manager, corporate communications. She will relocate to Nashville from her office at Nissan Technical Center North America in Farmington Hills, MI.

Other moves include Terri Hines, who moves from corporate PR to product PR as senior manager of marketing and lifestyle communications for both the Infiniti and Nissan brands.
