AUBURN HILLS, MI: Jennifer Cortez, Audi director of communications, has accepted a position with Clear Blue, a communications and marketing firm in Birmingham, MI and Chicago.
She will leave the luxury sibling brand of Volkswagen next Wednesday to begin her new job as executive account director for the agency. She will report to Clear Blue President Mike Rosenau.
She said she will be focused on Clear Blue’s automotive accounts, including Chrysler Group’s brands Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge, as well as also General Motors.
“[Clear Blue] is also certainly looking to grow its strategic comms effort and I will hopefully be working with that,” she said. “It’s a great opportunity because when you are external you get to provide companies with your unique perspective.”
She added that her experience on the corporate side gives her a unique perspective.
“I’ve been in corporate life for ten years," Cortez said. "You have a purer approach to communications strategy and work when you are internal.”
