NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has signed a deal with Egyptian PR firm Active PR, in association with Bates PanGulf, its exclusive affiliate in the Middle East and North Africa.
The affiliation follows a similar deal Burson made earlier this year with Finnish PR firm Phojoisranta. Per Heggenes, CEO Burson-Marsteller United Kingdom and worldwide director of affiliate relationships, lauded Active PR Managing Director Mohamed El Koosy for building a strong business in the region, “In a relatively short period of time.”
The agency, with public affairs and non-profit specialization, counts Daimler Chrysler, Heinz, Coca Cola, Kodak, Unicef, World Gold Council, US Wheat Associates, and Amnesty International among its clients.
Burson-Marsteller's operations in the Europe, the Middle East and Africa currently include 16 wholly-owned offices and 49 affiliate offices, together operating in 36 countries.
