NEW YORK: Porter Novelli has promoted Inge Kauer to director of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, effective of July 1, 2006.

Kauer, who will remain managing director of the agency's Netherlands office, will drive EMEA regional strategy and business development, as well as interact with offices throughout the region.   The EMEA region includes 35 Porter Novelli offices among 27 countries.

"Inge's leadership will further strengthen our EMEA network, enabling the agency to meet the needs of a growing number of multinational clients," said Helen Ostrowski, CEO at Porter Novelli, in a release. Ostrowski feels that Krauer's strengths prepare the agency for the expected European Union expansion in 2007.

Krauer has worked at Porter Novelli since 1994, and has served numerous clients, including Pfizer and McDonald's.
