NEW YORK: Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L) has created a global healthcare issues management and litigation practice.
The new practice brings together issues management and litigation communications under the purview of crisis specialist and North American president Larry Kamer.
The practice will include Paul Gallagher, who joined in April from CBS News' 60 Minutes as SVP and director of media strategy; Peter Pitts, SVP of global health affairs; Don Hannaford, SVP and managing director of MS&L's Washington office; and Pål Jebsen, chairman of MS&L Sweden.
Global CEO Mark Hass said the group will focus on navigating pharma clients through crises and litigation. "Every time the FDA posts an adverse event on Medwatch or announces a label change, or tough questions are raised at advisory committee meetings, it's like waving a red flag in front of the plaintiff's bar," he said, in a statement.
