NEW YORK: The PRSA has nominated Jeffrey Julin, president of Denver-based MGA Communications, as the 2007 president-elect of PRSA.

Julin was chosen by the 21-member nominating committee in Chicago last week after all applicants gave presentations. Anthony D'Angelo, director of global marketing communications for Carrier Corporation's Transicold Division; and Mike Cherenson, VP of The Cherenson Group; also vied for the presidential position, according to Cedric Bess, director of PR for PRSA.

They've subsequently been nominated for treasurer and secretary, respectively.

"The committee recognized Jeff's long-time contributions to the society and most recently he has served as both a national board member and as a secretary and treasurer," said Del Galloway, nominating committee chairman.

If voted in on November 11, 2006, Julin will serve as president-elect for 2007, replacing Rhonda Weiss, who is taking over for incumbent president Cheryl Procter-Rogers.
