Did you hear? Credibility in journalism isn't at an all-time high. While the pursuit is still noble, scandals and competition have devalued the industry a bit. Especially in the sports journalism world, where, sadly, too much of the journalism in punditry.

So, one would assume that sports journalists would take good care to be slow and confident with the facts. You know, like not completely running with the unproven rumor (news? what do you call it?) - from one local report - that Terrell Owens tried to commit suicide. Or, you know, deciding to run wild with names allegedly mentioned in a steroid report. Allegations that appear to be false.

Unrelated: good opportunity for a discussion on suicide prevention.
