MIAMI: Weber Shandwick has opened an office in Miami to serve its clients’ expanding needs in the region. Karina Diehl will join the agency as an account director and will work closely with Weber Shandwick eaders from practice hubs around the US and Latin America and also with The Axis Agency, Weber’s multicultural marketing partner. Diehl most recently worked at IBM, where she managed diversity communications for eight affinity groups on IBM’s corporate media relations team. She also managed all external media relations activities for several diversity programs, supervised IBM’s diversity PR agencies, and was responsible for strategic communication plan development and implementation for community and marketplace audiences.
