We are growing accustomed to advertisements appearing in the most unlikely places, as this USA Today story explains. Some guy in Pennsylvania sells ad space on the back of his neck and chest, and CBS emblazons 35 million eggs with its logo.

Pundits tell us we are all becoming "desensitized" to advertising, thanks to its ubiquity. But these particular examples seem to reinforce the power of PR, rather than the prevalence of advertising. I'm pretty sure I didn't see any actual CBS eggs in circulation, but I certainly read the article about it in one of the country's biggest newspapers.
