SURESNES, FRANCE: Global holding company Havas today reported third-quarter 2006 results, which included heightened overall revenue and stronger performances in corporate and healthcare communications
The Paris-based media conglomerate reported Q3 earnings of $436 million, an increase of 1.9% from last year's $433 million. For the first nine months of 2006, collective revenue was $1,349 million, up 2.1% compared to the same period in 2005.
According to Havas, the Q3 boost was "driven by sustained activity in corporate communications, healthcare, and media consulting," especially via the company's Euro RSCG division.
Significant Q3 corporate communications account wins included Natlxis and NYSE (France) and Vinci (pan-European); for marketing services, wins included Maison de France and Barclays, both in the UK.
Most regions reported satisfactory organic growth, as well. France, the UK, and North America, in particular, saw excellent performance in healthcare and corporate communications, the company said.
Havas PR agencies in the US include Euro RSCG Magnet, Euro RSCG Life PR, and Abernathy MacGregor. In late 2005, Magnet hired former Asprey director of marketing John Margaritis to serve as executive director and help align the group's agencies into a solid international network. His ongoing efforts have included the appointment of former Edelman New York GM and EVP Lisa Sepulveda as CEO, Laura Sturtz as chief creative officer, and Jonathan Sanchez as chief communications officer.
