Much ink has been spilled over ESPN's abysmal failure of a MVNO - ESPN Mobile (or Mobile ESPN). One of the reasons pundits gave for its failure was the inability (or difficulty) to receive non-ESPN, sports content. Surely, ESPN has the proprietary right to include/ban any particular material, but consumer have the same right to spend their money elsewhere.
So, I can't decide whether it is surprising or unsurprising that ESPN released a content aggregator called MyESPN that actually allows you to add feeds of content from non-ESPN sources -- even Deadspin. And they're soliciting feedback for new content options. Bravo.
